Matcha Cocktail - Moscow Mule - Recipe

How to Make a Matcha Moscow Mule

I am sure that you have heard of the cocktail called Moscow Mule. It has become pretty popular over the past year or so. I love the copper cup that it is served in. This drink has been around since the 1940s. Mules make a great summer cocktail because they are refreshing and frosty.

Today I will show you how to make an even better version of the Moscow Mule. It is the same except for one ingredient that is a game-changer.

I am adding a simple shot of matcha green tea. By doing this, my mule will be even more delicious, and I will have natural energy from the matcha powder. No more mixing energy drinks with vodka. Now you have a much healthier option that will keep you energized even longer.

You will need:

  • 2 tsp of matcha green tea powder
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice
  • Water
  • Ginger beer
  • 2 oz of vodka

STEP 1

Squeeze half of a lime into each cup, and drop the lime into the cup when done.

STEP 2

Add ice.

STEP 3

Add one shot of vodka to each cup.

STEP 4.

Fill ¾ with ginger beer.

STEP 5

Add 2 tsp of matcha with one cup of water. You can do this in a shaker or with your whisk.

STEP 6

Combine matcha with the rest of the ingredients in the cup and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

STEP 7 (The most important step)

ENJOY!
